Aluminium Stair Nosing / Treads

High-performance stair edgings and trims with hard-wearing anodised finishes

Make a Big difference underfoot with GA’s aesthetically elegant and extremely wear resistant extruded aluminium alloy anodised stair nosings and treads.

But don’t take our word for it! During independent wear resistance testing our stair nosings have been subjected to 1,000,000 biomechanical footfalls, without any resultant surface cracking or damage!

GA’s lightweight durable nosings are easy to handle and fit. These high quality nosings are often recommended to construction companies by installers who have previously fitted these stair nosings. Several Elizabeth Line Tube stations have our nosings fixed to their back staircases, after installer recommendations were made to the contractors.

Built for high footfall interiors

High-traffic spaces demand more than a neat finish — they need stair edging that keeps performing. GA’s aluminium stair nosings are designed for interior use in commercial and high-end residential environments, combining a hard-wearing anodised surface with a clean, contemporary look.

  • Hard-wearing anodised finish engineered for long-term performance.
  • Independently wear tested with one million simulated footfalls reported with no loss of anodised coverage.
  • Slip performance tested using the BS 7976-2:2002 pendulum method (reported in the “Low Slip Potential” category, PTV 36+).

Design flexibility for clean transitions

Different stairs and floor finishes need different edge details. GA stair nosings, edgings and trims offer a selection of back-edge options to create successful transitions between the nosing and surrounding flooring, helping you avoid awkward junctions and unfinished edges.

Made to install cleanly and quickly

These lightweight, durable extruded alloy profiles are easy to handle and fit. Standard lengths are typically available for immediate dispatch, and we can cut to suit specific stair widths on request — helping you keep site time down while maintaining a crisp, professional finish.
