Description

A hexagonal perforated aluminium sheet with 15 x 17mm apertures at 56% open area in a staggered pitch. The 15mm dimension is the flat-to-flat width of each hexagonal hole; 17mm is the point-to-point height. At 15mm, the hexagonal cells are prominent, clearly defined features of the sheet — each aperture is large enough to be read unmistakably as a hexagon at comfortable viewing distances, and the overall surface has a bold, open honeycomb character. The 56% open area is shared with the smaller 12 x 14mm product in the range, making these two specifications direct counterparts at different visual scales.

The 15 x 17mm specification suits applications where the hexagonal pattern is intended as a visible design element rather than a background texture — balustrade and railing infill panels, decorative screening, ceiling tile facings, and architectural cladding where the honeycomb geometry should be legible at the distances at which the panel will be viewed. Because open area is identical to the 12 x 14mm product, ventilation performance and acoustic transparency are equivalent; the distinction is purely visual scale. This product is available in 2.0mm material thickness only, in both standard sheet sizes. For a larger hexagonal aperture at higher open area, the 20 x 23mm product delivers 59% open area.
