At this level of perforation, exactly half the aluminium material has been removed, leaving the minimum practical bridge between holes consistent with structural integrity and a commercially acceptable surface. The sheet has a noticeably lighter, mesh-like appearance compared to the 40% and 23% staggered variants at the same 3mm hole size.

This specification suits applications where maximum acoustic transparency or airflow through a fine-aperture aluminium screen is the primary requirement. Speaker grille liners, acoustic treatment panels in recording environments, and ventilation covers where pressure drop needs to be minimised are all typical end uses.
