A hexagonal perforated aluminium sheet with 6.0 x 6.9mm apertures at 52% open area in a staggered pitch layout. The two dimensions describe the width and height of each hexagonal hole: 6.0mm flat-to-flat and 6.9mm point-to-point. At 6mm, the individual hexagons are small enough that the pattern reads as a uniform honeycomb texture at normal viewing distances rather than a set of individually visible holes. The 52% open area means slightly more than half the sheet surface is open, giving a surface with good airflow and light transmission while retaining a visually solid, textured character.

Applications include speaker grille facings, acoustic panel liners, fine ventilation covers, equipment enclosures, and decorative mesh panels where a refined, tight honeycomb finish is required. At 6.0mm, this is the smallest hole in the hexagonal range and is stocked exclusively in 1.2mm material thickness on a 2000 x 1000mm sheet — making it the most appropriate specification for lightweight, interior-facing applications where gauge weight and handling ease matter. Where a larger honeycomb cell at similar or higher open area is preferred, the 12 x 14mm and 15 x 17mm sizes both deliver 56% open area at a more prominent visual scale.
